Day 1
Breakfast – EGOIST
Since our first activity for the day doesn’t begin until 10 am, it’s time to start our day with a stroll through Adamas, grabbing breakfast at EGOIST. It opens at 7 am and is just a quick 2-minute walk from the tour meeting point.
Go for the traditional Greek breakfast platter if you’re in the mood for something savory, or treat yourself to one of their crepes or pancakes (they’re a fan favorite for a reason). Pair it with a Greek coffee and you’ll be more than ready to kick off a morning of ancient ruins and cultural gems.
Morning – Explore Milos’ top cultural and archeological sights
After a delicious breakfast, it’s time to explore Milos’ top cultural sights! This half-day cultural tour starts at 10 am and is your first-class ticket to explore ancient ruins, seaside villages, and lunar-like landscapes all in one go.
You’ll begin at the Ancient Roman Theater, tucked between the villages of Tripiti and Klima, with sweeping Aegean views and a fascinating link to the discovery of the Venus de Milo. It gave the whole site a sense of connection to something bigger.
Next, explore the eerie, early-Christian Catacombs of Milos before heading to charming Plaka for an hour of wandering, shopping, and views from the churchyard of Panagia Korfiatissa. We grabbed a gelato here and just sat soaking in the view.
From there, you’ll make a quick stop in Mandrakia, a tiny fishing village known for its brightly painted boat garages carved into the rock. We loved how peaceful and cinematic it felt! Then it’s time for a full hour at Sarakiniko Beach, where chalk-white volcanic cliffs curve around jewel-toned water.
The final leg includes a short visit to the prehistoric settlement of Phylakopi, and about 50 minutes to unwind in Pollonia, a charming coastal village with a breezy, relaxed vibe. You’ll head back to Adamas around 2 pm, with your camera a lot fuller than when you started!

Afternoon – Spend some time in Pollonia
After your morning tour wraps up, it’s time to head over to Pollonia, a postcard-perfect fishing village on the northeastern tip of the island. It’s just a 15-minute drive from Adamas, and the vibe here is much sleepier and more relaxed, exactly what you’ll want after a busy morning of sightseeing.
We recommend grabbing a late lunch at Rifaki, a waterfront taverna where the seafood is as fresh as it gets, and the views are hard to beat. It’s definitely on the pricier side (like most restaurants in Pollonia), but we found it totally worth the splurge. If you’d rather explore first, take your time wandering along the harbor, dipping your toes in the water, or just lounging by the beach!
The meeting point for our evening tour is also just a couple of minutes away by car, so you can take your time here and ease into the golden hour.
Evening – Wine tasting at Kostantakis Winery
As the sun starts to dip, make your way to Kostantakis Winery for an evening of incredible wine! This 2-hour wine tasting takes place at a small, family-run vineyard tucked into the volcanic hills just outside Pollonia, and trust us, it’s nothing like the big commercial wine tours you might have been on before.
We arrived just before golden hour, and watching the light fade over the vines while sipping that first pour felt like something out of a movie.
You’ll be welcomed like an old friend and guided through the property by someone who truly knows and loves the land. When we visited, our guide, Petros, explained how Milos’ volcanic soil gives the wines their unique character, and even walked us through the traditional equipment still used in the winemaking process.
One of our favorite parts was exploring the natural wine cave, a cool, barrel-lined tunnel where the family stores and ages their bottles. It felt so atmospheric, and set the tone perfectly for the tasting that followed. You’ll sample seven different wines, each thoughtfully paired with local cheeses and island-made treats.

Dinner – Gyros of Milos
After a full day of sightseeing, sea breezes, and wine tasting, keep things simple with a casual dinner. If you’re staying in Adamas, Gyros of Milos is a great no-fuss option, affordable, quick, and seriously tasty. We’d had a late lunch, so gyros hit the spot without overdoing it.
Still got a little room? Walk a few minutes over to Artemis Bakery and treat yourself to a slice of their famous watermelon pie. It’s a local specialty and the perfect sweet ending to your first day on the island.
Day 2
Breakfast – Mentor Coffee Guidance & More
Start your second day slow with a coffee and light bite at Mentor Coffee Guidance & More, a relaxed little café right across from the meeting point for today’s sailing tour. It opens early, at 6 am, so you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy your breakfast before the tour kicks off at 10 am.
This isn’t the place for a luxury meal, but if you’re after a quality espresso, fresh pastry, or something simple like scrambled eggs, it’s just the thing. We loved the calm, harbor-side setting and how genuinely welcoming the staff were. Bonus: They even serve decaf, which can be surprisingly hard to come by on the island!
Full-day sailing trip to Milo’s most iconic beaches and caves
After your coffee and breakfast, it’s time to swap land for sea and set off on one of the most unforgettable experiences Milos has to offer. This full-day sailing trip takes you around the island’s jaw-dropping coastline, with stops at hidden coves, surreal rock formations, and plenty of swim spots in that impossibly blue water.
You’ll start with a snorkel break at Kalogries Beach, followed by a ride in a dinghy to explore the unforgettable Sykia Cave. But the real showstopper is Kleftiko, where towering white cliffs rise out of the sea like a movie set. We loved floating through the caves here and discovering all the little passageways hidden in the rocks.
Back on board, you’ll be treated to a freshly cooked lunch, complete with drinks and plenty of time to relax before your final swim at Agios Dimitrios, a peaceful cove with sweeping views of the caldera. The crew keeps the energy fun and easygoing throughout, making this one of the best ways to see the island from a whole new perspective.

Dinner – Astakas Cafe Restaurant
After a full day out on the water, it’s time to head back to your hotel for a quick refresh. You’ll want to be feeling your best for dinner at Astakas! Just a 12-minute drive from where the tour ends, this charming taverna sits right at the water’s edge in Klima, with tables perfectly positioned for front-row views of the sunset and gently lapping waves.
The views are unbeatable, the seafood is incredibly fresh, and the whole vibe is effortlessly romantic, especially at sunset. Be sure to book a table in advance, as it fills up quickly, for good reason.

Day 3
Morning – Relax on a beach!
By now, you’ve already visited Milos’ two most famous coastal spots, Sarakiniko and Kleftiko, both spectacular, but more volcanic and rocky than your typical sandy beach. For your final day, take it easy and spend the morning at one (or a few!) of Milos’ other beautiful beaches.
There’s no shortage of options, so pick whatever suits your mood. And if you’d prefer to do your kayaking tour in the morning instead, feel free to swap the order—the beaches aren’t going anywhere.
Here are a few of our favorite picks:
- Firopotamos – A small but stunning beach with a peaceful vibe, colorful boathouses, and turquoise water. It’s easy to reach by car and feels like a tucked-away escape, even though it’s not far from Adamas.
- Tsigrado Beach – This one’s an adventure to access. You’ll climb down a ladder wedged into the cliffside, but once you’re there, you’re rewarded with soft sand, dramatic cliffs, and super clear water. Not ideal for anyone with mobility concerns, but totally worth it if you’re up for a bit of a scramble.
- Papafragas Beach and Caves – More of a dramatic photo stop than a lounging beach, but absolutely worth a visit. The narrow sea channel and natural caves carved into the rock give it a raw, untouched feel. Be cautious near the cliffs.
- Plathiena – A lesser-known spot near Plaka with a wide sandy shore and calm water, perfect for a relaxed swim and a bit of space to spread out. It’s great if you’re looking to avoid crowds.
- Fyriplaka Beach – Long, colorful, and backed by cliffs, this is one of the most picturesque beaches on the island. There’s usually a little beach bar and loungers to rent, so it’s an easy place to spend a few hours without needing to bring much with you.
Afternoon – Sea cave kayaking
After a relaxing morning by the sea, it’s time to cap off your Milos adventure with something a little more active! This guided kayaking tour is one of the best ways to explore the island’s hidden corners, and it was easily one of the most memorable parts of our trip.
You’ll launch right from Fyriplaka Beach (a great reason to make it your last beach stop of the day) and paddle toward the cliffs and caves near Tsigrado Beach. Keep your eyes out for fish and other marine life while you float through the calm, crystal-clear sea!
Next, you’ll make your way to Gerakas Beach, a remote stretch of coastline only accessible by boat. We loved swimming in the warm sea cave here and even got to dip into a small natural hot spring—such a cool surprise! Along the way, your guides will share insights about the area and make sure you don’t miss anything special.
There are also thoughtful extras, like homemade local snacks (we tried koufeto, a traditional almond and honey treat) and even the option to use a GoPro to capture your favorite moments on the water. Whether you’re a confident kayaker or a total beginner, the tour is well-paced and beginner-friendly—just bring your sense of adventure!

Dinner – O! Hamos! Tavern
After your kayaking adventure wraps up, either around 6 or 7:30 pm, now’s the time to head back to your hotel to freshen up before your final dinner in Milos. Tonight, you’ll be eating at O! Hamos!, one of the island’s most well-loved tavernas, and a true local favorite.
They don’t take reservations, but don’t worry, it’s completely normal to eat late in Greece, and arriving around 9 pm is totally standard. The wait is part of the experience, and totally worth it. Known for their handwritten menus and recipes passed down through generations, this place serves rich, soulful dishes using ingredients grown on their own farm.
Evening – Toast to your trip!
It’s your last night in Milos, and after three incredible days of beaches, sailing, wine, and adventure, it’s only right to raise a glass to it all. There are plenty of cocktail bars and laid-back spots to choose from, but we recommend heading to Akri Bar for one final sunset view.
Perched above the harbor in Adamas, this cozy bar has a great cocktail list, friendly staff, and a relaxed vibe that’s perfect for unwinding. Where to Stay in Milos, Greece

With its peaceful setting and easy access to Adamas’ restaurants, shops, and port, it’s a perfect blend of comfort and convenience!

Mid-range – $$
Villa Mina is a great mid-range stay in Adamas, offering a peaceful setting just outside the town center. The property features a swimming pool with sea views and spacious rooms, some with private balconies. It’s an excellent choice for travelers looking for a relaxing retreat while still being close to Milos’ restaurants, shops, and port.

Budget – $
Moschoula Studios is a charming, budget-friendly stay in Adamas—just a 5–10 minute walk from the port, beaches, shops, and restaurants. Set in a quiet spot with a lovely pool, garden, and shaded loungers, it’s a peaceful retreat that still feels close to everything. Each studio or apartment includes a private bathroom, balcony or terrace, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and a fully equipped kitchenette.

Tips for Renting a Car in Europe
