We had a view over Place Bellecour, and despite being in such a central location, the soundproofing was excellent.

Here’s the coolest part: the hotel has a connection to the Paul Bocuse Institut, so the restaurant features chefs from this renowned culinary school. We had dinner there one night, and it was exceptional. To top it off, the staff were incredible, and gave us some amazing local recommendations that we never would’ve found on our own! • Go on a secret food tour – Lyon is France’s food capital, and this secret food tour proved exactly why. We sampled charcuterie, cheeses, praline treats, chocolates, and a classic bouchon meal, all while wandering medieval streets and hidden passageways. Every stop was better than the last, and the stories behind the food made it even more memorable.

• See Lyon by pedicab – This private pedicab tour was such a fun and relaxed way to explore Lyon’s highlights. With a knowledgeable guide leading the way, we cruised past Place Bellecour, traboules, Place des Terreaux, and the iconic Fresque des Lyonnais.

• Sip your way through Beaujolais – Spending a full day in Beaujolais on this private wine tour was one of our favorite experiences from Lyon. Traveling through vineyards in a vintage Land Rover, meeting local winemakers, and enjoying generous tastings felt incredibly special. Add in a regional lunch and postcard-worthy scenery, and it’s an unforgettable day.

• Explore Lyon on an e-bike tour – This electric bike tour was easily one of the most fun ways to see Lyon. The e-bikes made hills effortless as we cruised through Old Town, along the rivers, and into Parc de la Tête d’Or. Between the humor-filled commentary and unique spots like the Croix Rousse tunnel, the ride never got boring.
