Planning a trip to Da Nang soon? You’re in the right place!

One of my favorite things about Da Nang is that you get a city break and a beach vacation in the same trip. So when it comes to finding a place to base yourself, you’ve got a few decisions to make! Do you want to wake up near the beach, have city sights close by, or settle into a resort with everything you need for a relaxing stay?

To help you make the best decision for your trip, I’ve rounded up the four best areas to stay in Da Nang, plus my favorite hotels in each. Ready? Let’s get to it!

Don’t miss out!

My Top Choice

This is the area and hotel I loved the most and suggest booking ASAP!

My FAVORITE area to stay in Da Nang is My Khe Beach! I love having the beach, restaurants, and cafes nearby while still being a quick Grab from the city center.

Sala Danang Beach Hotel is my top pick for its amazing value and location! It’s just 200 meters (650 feet) from the beach and has an amazing rooftop infinity pool, sea views, and a spa.

Overview of the Best Areas to Stay in Da Nang

You’ll find plenty of temples and cultural sights around Da Nang

I love Da Nang!

Da Nang is divided between its urban center and a long stretch of coastline. Traveling between the main areas is pretty straightforward, so you won’t need a rental car to make the most of your stay!

You can usually walk between restaurants, cafes, and shops within your neighborhood, then use Grab for longer trips. I recommend downloading the app and setting up mobile data before you arrive. You’ll see the fare before booking, which is handy when you’re still getting your bearings.

The airport is also close to the city center, so you won’t have a long transfer before your vacation begins.

Of all the areas on this list, Non Nuoc feels the most removed, with resorts farther south near the Marble Mountains. If you stay here, you’ll have to rely more on taxis or hotel transfers, but if your plans involve beach days and lounging beside a gorgeous pool, I think it’s worth the extra travel time!

Before I get into the details, here’s a quick overview of my favorite areas to stay:

  • My Khe Beach – Best for first-time visitors – Stay here for easy beach access, a huge selection of hotels, seafood restaurants, and short rides to the Han River and city center. Sala Danang Beach Hotel is my top pick thanks to its stunning rooftop infinity pool and easy walk to the beach.
  • An Thuong – Best for dining and nightlife – This compact neighborhood behind the southern end of My Khe Beach is packed with cafes, international restaurants, massage studios, bars, and apartments. I love Sofiana Mỹ Khê Hotel & Spa for its rooftop pool, spa, and easy walk to both the beach and An Thuong Night Market.
  • Da Nang City Center / Hai Chau – Best for sightseeing and local life – This area is home to Han Market, Da Nang Cathedral, the Museum of Cham Sculpture, Dragon Bridge, and the illuminated riverfront. Fivitel Boutique Da Nang is my favorite mid-range hotel here, with an indoor pool and a central location near the Han River.
  • Non Nuoc Beach – Best for luxury resorts – Base yourself here for private beaches, large pools, spas, golf courses, and easier trips to the Marble Mountains and Hoi An. Meliá Danang Beach Resort is my top choice for its gorgeous beachfront setting and full resort facilities.

Important Tip

Multiple Da Nang trips have taught me that this city doesn’t reward spontaneity when it comes to planning. The good places get snapped up months in advance, leaving the overpriced and underwhelming options for last-minute travelers.

The sweet spot for booking Da Nang accommodations is 3-4 months out—enough time to secure good rates but not so far ahead that you’re locking in plans excessively early.

Where to Stay in Da Nang

My Khe Beach

My Khe Beach with palm trees in Da Nang, Vietnam
My Khe Beach is beautiful!
Awesome view of the Dragon Bridge in Da Nang, Vietnam
Dragon Bridge is also nearby

BEST FOR FIRST-TIME VISITORS

Pros

  • Da Nang’s broad main beach, seafood restaurants, cafes, and beach clubs are close by
  • There is an enormous choice of hotels covering almost every price point
  • Dragon Bridge, the Han River, Son Tra Peninsula, and the airport are all a short Grab ride away

Cons

  • The beachfront strip can feel busy and tourist-focused, especially on weekends and holidays
  • Most city-center markets and museums require a taxi or Grab ride
  • Traffic and construction noise can affect hotels near the main coastal road

If it’s your first time in Da Nang, I definitely recommend staying near My Khe Beach. This long stretch of sand makes a fantastic base, with plenty of seafood restaurants, coffee shops, and hotels nearby. You’ll see people out swimming early in the morning, and I love the idea of starting the day with a dip before heading out for breakfast!

The biggest draw here is that you can enjoy a beach vacation without missing out on the city. Spend the morning by the water, head across the Han River for sightseeing, then return for an evening stroll along the sand. Dragon Bridge and the city center are only a short Grab ride away, so it’s easy to mix things up.

You’ll also have lots of choice when it comes to hotels. There are smaller boutique stays alongside tall hotels with gorgeous rooftop pools, so you don’t need a luxury budget to find somewhere appealing.

The main downside is that this is a popular area, and the main beachfront road can get busy, especially during holidays. Overall, though, I think My Khe is hard to beat if you want beach time, restaurants, and city sights within easy reach.

Saha Casa Boutique Hotel Da Nang – $$$

For my top luxury boutique pick near My Khe Beach, I absolutely love Saha Casa Boutique Hotel Da Nang. This hotel has a ton of personality, and the rooftop pool is nothing short of stunning!

Inside, you’ll find air-conditioned rooms with minibars, plus an on-site restaurant serving Asian dishes. The hotel also offers free bikes and complimentary parking, and My Khe Beach is about a 7-minute walk away, so you can easily fit in some beach time around your sightseeing.

As for pricing, expect rates from $180 to $275+ USD per night, depending on your dates and room choice.

If you love having plenty of facilities to choose from, Awaken Danang Hotel is another luxury option worth checking out. Along with a gorgeous infinity pool, there’s a spa, fitness center, and kids’ club, with My Khe Beach less than a 10-minute walk away.

I also really like BlueSun Danang Beach Hotel, especially if beach time is high on your agenda. The shore is only about a 3-minute walk away, and you’ll have both an indoor and a rooftop pool, plus a sky bar for evening cocktails!

Sala Danang Beach Hotel – $$

For my top overall pick near My Khe Beach, it’s got to be Sala Danang Beach Hotel.

I love this hotel for its rooftop infinity pool, spa, sauna, hot tubs, and fitness center, plus free parking if you’re traveling by car. Several room types also have sea views, and My Khe Beach is only about 200 meters (650 feet) away, so you won’t have to go far for a swim.

Price-wise, you can expect to pay around $160 to $240+ USD per night, which I think is a fantastic price for the location and facilities. Prices do vary by season, though, so check your preferred dates before booking.

Prince Hotel Da Nang is another mid-range option I love near the beach. Like Sala Danang Beach Hotel, this hotel also has full spa facilities, plus an on-site restaurant and bar for easy dinners and evening drinks.

For a slightly more upscale alternative, I’d also check out Radisson Hotel Danang. With a rooftop pool, spa, and fitness center close to the beach, you’ll have plenty of ways to unwind between beach days and city adventures!

Paris Deli Danang Beach Hotel – $

For a more budget-friendly stay near My Khe Beach with plenty of extras, I absolutely love Paris Deli Danang Beach Hotel. The rooftop pool here has lovely views toward the coast, and the beach is only a short walk away, so you can easily split your afternoons between the two!

There’s also a spa, gym, lounge, and three restaurants, plus a buffet breakfast to fuel up before exploring. Dragon Bridge is also just a short drive away, making this a convenient base if you want to enjoy both the beach and the city.

Price-wise, you can expect rates around $90 to $130+ USD per night, which is more than reasonable for a beachfront stay.

Another budget-friendly option I like to recommend near the beach is The Glomad Boutique. It offers both private rooms and shared accommodation, along with a pool, and some units even have kitchenettes.

Golden Rose Hotel is also worth checking out. It’s only a 5-minute walk from the beach and has a lovely rooftop pool and spa facilities.

An Thuong

My Khe Beach is nearby, so it’s easy to head over for a swim or a walk
Jesse having a drink in An Thuong, Vietnam
The area has plenty of great restaurants, cafes, and bars

BEST FOR DINING AND NIGHTLIFE

Pros

  • Restaurants, cafes, massage studios, bars, and boutique hotels sit within a compact, walkable grid
  • My Khe Beach is close enough for morning swims and sunset walks
  • Apartments, coworking-friendly cafes, and everyday services make longer stays easy

Cons

  • Streets near popular bars and late-night restaurants can be noisy
  • The neighborhood has a more international, visitor-focused feel than central Hai Chau
  • You will need Grab or a taxi for most riverfront sights and local markets

If you love having plenty of places to eat, drink, and hang out near your hotel, An Thuong should definitely be on your radar. This area sits behind the southern end of My Khe Beach, and it’s packed with restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, and bars. You’ll still be close to the beach, too, so choosing between a swim and another iced coffee might be your biggest daily decision!

I especially like this area for solo travelers, younger couples, and anyone planning a longer stay. You can walk out for breakfast, spend a few hours at the beach, then pick somewhere new for dinner. If you’re a digital nomad, you’ll also have plenty of cafes nearby where you can catch up on work.

I also love that there’s a mix of international food and Vietnamese restaurants, so you’ll have plenty of choice when hunger strikes. And when you feel like sightseeing, the city center is just a short Grab ride away.

The main thing to watch out for when booking accommodation is noise, especially if your hotel is close to a busy bar. I recommend checking reviews and choosing a side street if you prefer early nights. Otherwise, An Thuong is a fantastic base for sociable evenings and easy beach access.

M Hotel Danang – $$$

For my luxury pick near An Thuong, I absolutely love M Hotel Danang. The rooftop pool here offers spectacular views of My Khe Beach and Son Tra Peninsula, and you’ll also have access to a spa with a sauna, steam room, and gym.

Location-wise, the beach is practically on your doorstep, and An Thuong Night Market is only a short walk away. As for pricing, you can expect rates to range from around $200 to $260+ USD per night depending on the room type and season.

Golden Lotus Luxury Hotel Danang is another option I love, just a few minutes from My Khe Beach. Along with a rooftop infinity pool, spa, and fitness center, you’ll have complimentary bikes and daily afternoon tea, which is such a lovely extra!

For more of a resort atmosphere, I’d also check out Risemount Premier Resort Da Nang. With two pools and spa facilities around a 5- to 10-minute walk from the beach, it’s got all the ingredients for a dreamy few days in Da Nang!

Sofiana Mỹ Khê Hotel & Spa – $$

Next up is Sofiana Mỹ Khê Hotel & Spa, my mid-range pick near An Thuong. This compact hotel packs in plenty of extras, including a rooftop pool, bar, and spa, plus an on-site restaurant. The location is also ideal, with An Thuong Night Market less than 100 meters (330 feet) away, and My Khe Beach also within walking distance.

Rooms here typically range from $90 to $160+ USD per night, which is very reasonable considering the location and facilities.

If Sofiana Mỹ Khê Hotel & Spa is all booked up on your preferred dates, Taiyo Hotel & Apartment is a fantastic alternative just a 3-minute walk from the beach. This hotel offers apartment-style rooms with kitchenettes, which is super handy for families and longer stays.

Another option worth checking out is Sana Da Nang Beach Hotel. I love the sun terrace and pool bar here, and there’s also a fantastic on-site restaurant!

Cicilia Hotels & Spa Danang – $

If you want to keep costs down without giving up those lovely hotel extras, Cicilia Hotels & Spa Danang is definitely worth a look! You’ll have two outdoor pools to choose from, including a rooftop pool with sea views, plus spa facilities for a little pampering between outings.

Location-wise, My Khe Beach is just a short walk away, and An Thuong’s restaurants and cafes are also within easy walking distance, so you’ll have plenty of choices when it’s time for dinner.

Rates for this hotel can range from $70 to $130+ USD per night depending on the season and room type, which is excellent value for a hotel so close to the beach.

LUK Inn Hotel is another affordable option right on An Thuong 4. Along with a rooftop pool, it offers private rooms, apartment-style units, and dorm beds, so there’s plenty of choice depending on your budget and who you’re traveling with.

I also really like the nearby Halina Hotel and Apartment. The rooftop pool and spa are lovely extras at this price point, and family rooms make it worth considering if you’re traveling with kids.

Da Nang City Center / Hai Chau

Lanterns at a shop in Han Market, Da Nang, Vietnam
Han Market is a great spot to browse local goods and souvenirs
Da Nang Cathedral in Vietnam
Da Nang Cathedral is one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks

BEST FOR SIGHTSEEING AND LOCAL LIFE

Pros

  • Han Market, Da Nang Cathedral, the Museum of Cham Sculpture, and Dragon Bridge are nearby
  • Local restaurants and riverfront walks give the area a more everyday city atmosphere
  • The airport, train station, and transport connections are particularly convenient

Cons

  • Reaching the beach requires a Grab or taxi ride
  • The urban setting does not offer the sea views or relaxed atmosphere of the coastal neighborhoods
  • Traffic can be busy around markets, bridges, and main roads

If you’re more excited about markets, museums, and local food than spending every day on the sand, I recommend staying in Hai Chau. This central district makes a fantastic base for getting to know Da Nang, with Han Market, the Museum of Cham Sculpture, and Da Nang Cathedral close by.

I love that you can spend the day sightseeing, stop for dinner at a local restaurant, then head to the Han River for an evening stroll. The riverfront is especially lovely after dark, when the bridges light up, so make sure to leave plenty of time to wander!

Hai Chau is also handy for shorter visits. The airport is nearby, and the train station is easier to reach than it would be from the southern beach resorts. Smaller hotels around the market and river can be very reasonably priced, too. A few of my hotel picks sit across the river in Son Tra, but they’re still convenient for sightseeing, with bridges linking you to the center.

The main trade-off with this area is that you’ll need a Grab or taxi for beach days. But if you’d rather have markets, restaurants, and riverside walks close to your hotel, Hai Chau could be the perfect fit.

Meliá Vinpearl Danang Riverfront – $$$

Guestroom at Meliá Vinpearl Danang Riverfront, Vietnam

Rooftop pool at Meliá Vinpearl Danang Riverfront, Vietnam

For my luxury pick by the river, it’s got to be Meliá Vinpearl Danang Riverfront. The large outdoor pool overlooks the Han River toward Dragon Bridge, which is quite the view to enjoy from your sun lounger! I also love this hotel because it has three restaurants, a rooftop bar, spa, and gym. Families are well catered for, too, with a kids’ club and spacious suite options.

The hotel sits on the Son Tra side of the river, with Dragon Bridge a short drive away. You’ll also be within easy reach of My Khe Beach, making this a lovely choice if you want to mix city sightseeing with a few afternoons by the sea.

Price-wise, you can expect rates between $70 and $200+ USD per night. Rooms with river views tend to cost more, so make sure to compare room options before booking.

HAIAN Riverfront Hotel Da Nang is another stylish option on the Hai Chau side of the river. With rooftop and indoor pools, a spa, and Dragon Bridge around a 7-minute walk away, it’s a tempting base for sightseeing and relaxing.

I’d also check out Hilton Da Nang on Bạch Đằng Street. The pool terrace and rooftop dining are definite highlights here, while Han Market is less than a 10-minute walk away for shopping and sampling local food.

Fivitel Boutique Da Nang – $$

Next up is my top overall pick in the city center, Fivitel Boutcalique Da Nang. This hotel puts you close to the city’s main sights, while still giving you plenty of ways to unwind afterward, including an indoor pool, sauna, and a spa with massage services. There’s also a fitness center, on-site restaurant and bar, plus free parking if you’re traveling by car.

In terms of location, the Han River is about a 5-minute walk away, while Han Market and Da Nang Cathedral are also within easy walking distance, so you shouldn’t have to rely too much on taxis.

As for pricing, you can expect rates around $70 to $130 USD per night, which is such a steal considering the central location and facilities.

If Fivitel Boutique Da Nang is all booked up on your preferred dates, Wink Danang Riverside is a fantastic alternative. This east-bank hotel offers coworking areas, a 24-hour gym, and laundry facilities, plus a gorgeous rooftop infinity pool.

Another mid-range option I like to recommend is Sanouva Da Nang Hotel. I love that this hotel offers complimentary bicycle rentals, and it’s well-positioned for exploring Han Market, Da Nang Cathedral, and the Han River waterfront.

Caro Premium Danang Hotel – $

For my budget-friendly pick by the river, I cannot recommend Caro Premium Danang Hotel enough. Despite the budget price tag, you’ll still have an infinity pool, spa, gym, and rooftop dining. Add a room with a balcony, and you’ve got a lovely place to recharge after exploring!

Location-wise, you’ll be on the Son Tra side of the river, close to Dragon Bridge and Love Bridge. You’ll need to cross the river for Han Market and the main city-center streets, but I think it’s a lovely base if you enjoy exploring both sides.

You can expect rooms to typically range from $90 to $110+ USD per night. Not bad at all for a city center stay!

If you’d prefer to stay on the Hai Chau side, Val Soleil Hotel is another affordable option I love near Dragon Bridge. Some rooms here offer lovely river views, and the rooftop bar and swimming pool are a lovely bonus!

For a more boutique-style stay, I also love AVORA Boutique Hotel. The rooftop terrace is a great spot to unwind after sightseeing, and Han Market and Da Nang Cathedral are both within a 10-minute walk away.

Non Nuoc Beach

Non Nuoc Beach Da Nang Vietnam
Non Nuoc Beach is right by the resorts, so you can easily spend the day by the water
Brittni taking a photo at the Marble Mountains, Vietnam
The Marble Mountains are just a short trip from the coast

BEST FOR LUXURY RESORTS

Pros

  • Large beachfront resorts offer pools, spas, kids’ clubs, private beaches, and spacious villas
  • The Marble Mountains, golf courses, and Hoi An are easier to reach than they are from central Da Nang
  • The coast feels calmer and less crowded than My Khe Beach

Cons

  • Independent restaurants, cafes, and nightlife are limited
  • Trips into central Da Nang require taxis, transfers, or organized transport
  • Resort dining and on-site extras can make the overall stay more expensive

If your Da Nang plans involve lazy beach days and plenty of pool time, I recommend staying near Non Nuoc Beach. This stretch of coast south of My Khe is home to large resorts, wide sandy beaches, and golf courses, with more room to spread out than the busier beachfront farther north.

I especially love this area for couples planning a romantic getaway and families who want plenty to do without leaving their hotel. The resorts here are seriously gorgeous, so it’s easy to settle in and spend a few days taking things slowly.

Since you’ll probably spend more time at your hotel here, I recommend picking one with facilities you’re genuinely excited to use. A gorgeous pool, a tempting restaurant, or activities for the kids can make all the difference! And if you want to mix in a little sightseeing, the Marble Mountains are also nearby, and you’re well placed for a trip to Hoi An.

The main downside is that you’ll have fewer independent restaurants and bars within walking distance. Most evenings will revolve around your resort, and you’ll need a taxi or transfer if you want to venture elsewhere.

But for a relaxing vacation with a few outings mixed in, Non Nuoc is hard to beat!

Fusion Resort & Villas Da Nang – $$$

For my luxury pick in Non Nuoc, I absolutely love Fusion Resort & Villas Da Nang. You’ll have the choice between spacious suites and villas with their own private pools (the dream!). Some villas have as many as five bedrooms, so there’s plenty of choice for couples, families, and groups of friends.

You’ll also have access to a private beach, a main pool and children’s pool, full-service spa, and fitness facilities. Best of all, the Marble Mountains are a short drive away when you feel like heading out, and Hoi An is within easy reach for a day trip.

In terms of pricing, you can expect rates to range from around $150 for basic rooms to $2,000+ USD per night for larger villas.

Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa is another luxury option I love near Non Nuoc Beach, especially for families. With five outdoor pools, water slides, a kids’ club, and beach activities such as kayaking and paddleboarding, there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained!

Another luxury option nearby worth checking out is Danang Marriott Resort & Spa, Non Nuoc Beach Villas. Most of the villas here have private pools, which is pretty much my idea of vacation heaven!

Meliá Danang Beach Resort – $$

For my top overall pick in Non Nuoc, it’s got to be Meliá Danang Beach Resort. With direct access to a long private beach and multiple outdoor pools, the hardest part of your morning might be deciding where to swim first!

There’s plenty to enjoy beyond the water, too, including a full-service spa, a sea-facing fitness center, several dining venues, and a beach club. Families are well catered for with family rooms and a kids’ club, while couples will appreciate having so many ways to relax without leaving the resort.

Location-wise, the Marble Mountains are nearby, and Hoi An is around a 20-minute drive away. And for pricing, you can expect reasonable rates around $120 to $400+ USD per night.

If Meliá Danang Beach Resort is all booked up on your preferred dates, Danang Marriott Resort & Spa is another resort in the area worth adding to your shortlist. Along with private beach access and several pools, you’ll also have access to an on-site spa, tennis courts, and a kids’ club.

I also really love Sheraton Grand Danang Beach Resort & Spa for its enormous infinity pool. There’s even a mini water park for the kids!

You’ll travel by speedboat and snorkel around the islands, with a guide and equipment included. Best of all, you’ll be treated to a Vietnamese seafood lunch to round out the adventure, so you won’t have to worry about going hungry!

AIRALO e-SIM Up To 15% Off With Code “DTRAVEL15”

What’s an eSIM?

An eSIM is a digital version of a SIM card. Instead of buying a little plastic chip and swapping it into your phone, you just download it. It connects your phone to a local network in whatever country you’re visiting — no stores, no waiting, and no fiddling with tiny cards.

In simple terms, it’s the easiest way to get data and stay connected while traveling.

We’ve tested a bunch of eSIMs over the years, and after a few frustrating experiences, we’ve found our favorite — Airalo. It’s fast, reliable, and incredibly easy to use. You can set it up in minutes (even my mom managed it solo on her first try!), and the prices are some of the best out there.
