Day 1
Breakfast – Finestrina
Finestrina is a beautiful Italian bistro just a 3-minute walk from the meeting point for this morning’s tour. It’s a popular dinner spot, but they also do a fantastic breakfast. I highly recommend the eggs Benedict, and the coffee here is top-notch. Get here when it opens at 8:30 am so you have enough time to enjoy your breakfast before strolling over to the tour meeting point.
Morning/Afternoon – Explore the city on a tour
If you ask me, the best way to get to know Prague is on this walking tour! It starts at 10 am in front of the Charles Bridge and lasts for 6 hours. While that may sound like a long time, I promise it doesn’t feel that way at all. There are lots of activities involved, from tram and boat rides to a complimentary lunch in a classic Czech pub.
You will explore the Old Town area, visiting landmarks such as Charles Bridge, before hopping on a tram up to Prague Castle, the oldest castle complex still in use today! The castle was built in 880 AD, and it still towers over the city to this day.
Another stop we loved was at the Lennon Wall, which is as colorful as it is interesting. It’s a legal graffiti wall that is often used as a venue for demonstrations.
And of course, I can’t forget about the cruise down the Vltava River. Make sure you have your camera ready because the views from the river are out of this world!

Dinner – Potrefená husa Platnéřská
After the tour wraps up at the Charles Bridge Museum, it’s just a short 3-minute stroll to Potrefená husa Platnéřská. However, don’t feel that you have to rush straight here. Depending on how hungry you are, you might want to take some time to wander the area and explore the impressive architecture.
Potrefená husa Platnéřská is a modern gastropub, and it’s the perfect place to indulge in hearty and authentic Czech cuisine. They also have fantastic craft beer here, which is just what you need after a full day of exploring.
Evening – Enjoy a cocktail with a view
There’s no better way to end your first day in Prague than with cocktails at Casablanca Sky Bar! It’s a chic rooftop bar that offers amazing views over the river, and I love seeing the city lights reflected in the water at night. The cocktails here are seriously next-level — definitely try the Egypt signature cocktail, which is served in a Cleopatra-shaped vase!
Casablanca Sky Bar is just an 11-minute walk from dinner, and the scenic stroll along the river makes it even better.
Day 2
Breakfast – Bakeshop
Bakeshop is the perfect place for coffee and a light breakfast this morning. There’s a food tour planned around lunchtime, so you don’t want to eat too much, but they do fantastic coffee and pastries. It’s also just a 5-minute walk from Prague’s Old Market Square, which is where we’ll begin exploring today!
Morning – Explore Old Town Square
This morning, take a couple of hours to soak in the beauty of Prague’s Old Town Square. And trust me, there’s a lot to see here! It’s the historic heart of the city, and there’s always a lot going on here. Here’s what to get up to in and around the square:
Climb the Old Town Hall Tower
Kick off your exploration of the Old Town Square by heading up the Old Town Hall Tower. You can either take the elevator or brave the 186 stairs. Either way, the panoramic views at the top are totally worth the 300 CZK/€12 entry fee. I love the bird’s-eye view of the red rooftops and winding streets here, as well as the spires of Týn Church towering over the square.
Watch the Astronomical Clock Show
Every hour on the hour, the famous Astronomical Clock puts on a quirky mechanical show that draws quite a crowd. It’s a quick little spectacle, but a fun tradition to witness while you’re in the area!
Watch the Street Performers
To me, the Old Town Square always feels a lot like an open-air festival during the summer months! As you wander around, you’ll see musicians, bubble-blowers, and performers of all kinds bringing the square to life. If you need a caffeine fix, why not grab a coffee and people-watch for a while?
Visit the Illusion Art Museum in Prague
Just a short walk from the square, this small but super fun museum is packed with mind-bending optical illusions and interactive exhibits. It’s a playful stop and the perfect chance to snap some creative photos. Entry costs 350 CZK and it’s open until 8 pm every day.
Go Shopping
Old Town Square is surrounded by shops selling everything from sparkling Czech crystal to traditional marionettes and stylish local fashion. You can also wander over to the Havelská Market, which is just 3 minutes away, for souvenirs, fresh produce, and handmade crafts.
Peek Inside the Church of Our Lady before Týn
Of course, you can’t miss this iconic Gothic church when exploring the square. It’s definitely worth admiring from the outside, but I also think it’s worth taking a peek inside if you have time. It’s very ornate and offers a quiet moment away from the hustle and bustle of Prague’s most popular square.
Lunch – Eat your way through the city on a food tour
Prague is full of amazing restaurants, but choosing which ones to visit is an almost impossible task on your own. That’s why this food tour is so awesome! You will be led by a local guide who has insider knowledge of the best authentic restaurants and dishes in the entire city.
Book this tour for 12 pm to give yourself plenty of time to explore in the morning. The tour’s starting location is an 8-minute walk from the Old Town Square, and it lasts for 4 hours. Believe me, there is MORE than enough food included to make up a hearty lunch. You’re going to be full after this, so dinner will be a little late tonight.
We walked around the trendy neighborhood of Forum Karlin and explored the famous Wenceslas Square, stopping by different cafes and restaurants along the way. Make sure you come hungry because the samples really add up. Dan and I were stuffed by the end!
The tour also included drinks at every stop, which made it even more fun. We ended the afternoon at a local hangout where we actually stayed for a bit and with some of the other travelers on our tour. It was so much fun, and the perfect way to get to know the heart and soul of Prague.

After the food tour wraps up, I recommend enjoying the rest of your afternoon at your own pace. Whether you want to grab another drink or explore more of the Old Town and tick off something that you didn’t see earlier, Prague’s your oyster!
Of course, if you’re in a food coma after all of those lunchtime treats, you could always head back to your hotel to relax before the evening’s activities. Either way, tonight’s adventure doesn’t start until 8:30 pm, so there’s no need to rush.
Dinner/Evening – Enjoy a jazz dinner cruise
Tonight, you’ll be floating down a river in the middle of one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, looking at all of the sparkling lights, listening to soothing jazz music, and sipping on a glass of wine! Sounds pretty good, right?
This 2.5-hour Vltava River jazz cruise departs at 8:30 pm and lasts for 2.5 hours. You can choose a chicken, salmon, or vegetarian menu for your 3-course dinner. When we did this cruise, it was to die for.
Not only was the food incredible, but we also loved the music on board. There were three jazz sets over the course of the evening. The musicians were really talented, and they created a great vibe on board.
And of course I can’t forget about the views along the way. Gliding past Prague’s most famous sights, all lit up at night, was such a fantastic experience. Plus, it means that you get to see a lot even when you’re only in the city for a few days.

Day 3
Breakfast – Grab and Go!
This morning’s tour leaves at 8 am, so we recommend grabbing a quick bite to eat at a cafe close to your hotel. Or, stock up on pastries and snacks the night before so that you’re up and ready to go.
Morning/Afternoon – Visit the medieval town of Český Krumlov
About 2 hours outside of Prague sits the small medieval town of Český Krumlov. This town originated in the 13th century and is a perfect example of what a medieval European town used to look like. Honestly, it looks like it was pulled straight out of a fairy tale book!
This full-day tour allows you to explore this quaint town on a day trip from Prague. It starts at 8 am and picks up from all the city center hotels. It lasts for about 9 hours, so you’ll get back to the city at about 5 pm.
Český Krumlov is one of the most visited places in the Czech Republic for good reason. It’s absolutely beautiful and filled to the brim with history. In fact, the town is a UNESCO World Heritage site that still boasts a 13th-century castle and a moat filled with bears! You really can’t miss it on a visit to Prague.
We were guided through the town by an expert who took us around the castle complex and through 5 different courtyards. We learned so much fascinating history as we went, and we got to have lunch at a medieval restaurant. It was so cool! Later in the afternoon, we got some free time to explore on our own, which was very much appreciated.
At the end of the tour, you can choose to be dropped off at your hotel to freshen up before dinner, or you can hop off near the Old Town Square. Either way, I’m sure you’ll be feeling satisfied and pleasantly worn out after a fun day of exploring.

Dinner – Restaurace Mincovna
Restaurace Micovna is one of the best restaurants we’ve ever visited in Prague, and it’s right near the Old Town Square! This place serves up authentic Czech cuisine and it’s great value for money, too. I highly recommend both the goulash and the Prague ham. Best of all, it’s just a 3-minute walk away from the start of tonight’s ghost tour.
Evening – Learn about Prague’s dark history on a Ghost Tour
Finally, end your epic 3-day Prague trip on a spooky note with this evening ghost tour! It begins at 8:30 pm in the Old Town, right next to the Church of Our Lady Before Týn.

Budget – $
The Carlton Hotel allows you to enjoy a comfortable stay in Prague without breaking the bank. It’s just 4 tram stops away from the Old Square, so at €80 to €120 per night, it’s an affordable option that’s close to the action. Plus, there are single rooms for budget-conscious solo travellers and triple rooms for families and groups.
