One of my absolute highlights in Ibiza was this small-group Xarraca Bay kayaking tour. If you’re looking to explore the island beyond the usual beach clubs and nightlife, this is such a fun way to do it!
We paddled out from Cala Xarraca bay in a small group of about a dozen people, weaving between rocky outcrops and into sea caves that we’d never have found on our own!
Our guide was super friendly and really knew the area, sharing fun local stories and pointing out cool rock formations along the way. We stopped for a swim and a bit of cliff jumping (optional, but so fun!) before snorkeling in the clearest turquoise water I’ve seen in a while. The bay was so peaceful and uncrowded, and the views back toward the rugged northern coastline were unreal.

If you’re up for a bit of adventure and want to see a totally different side of Ibiza, this private hiking tour was hands-down one of the best things we did on our last trip!
We booked it for sunset, and I’d definitely recommend going for either a sunrise or sunset slot. Our guide, Donovan, timed the hike perfectly so we reached the top just as the sky started to turn golden—it was absolutely magical.

Trading sandals for something a bit more rugged was one of the best decisions we made in Ibiza. This guided ATV tour was such a wild, fun way to explore the island beyond the usual beaches and bars!

Golden hour in Ibiza is my favorite time of day, but taking it all in from the water is something truly special that I think everyone needs to experience!

Renting a Car in Spain
Renting a car in Spain is the perfect way to explore beyond the cities—think small villages, coastal towns, and hidden gems impossible to reach by public transit! The roads are well-maintained, and driving here is generally pretty relaxed, making it ideal for a road trip.

Tips for Renting a Car in Spain
- Drive on the right: Like most of Europe, you’ll be driving on the right-hand side in Spain. And make sure you stick to the speed limit, speed cameras are common here!
- Pick the right car: Some of Spain’s smaller towns and villages have narrow streets and tight parking, so I recommend going for a compact car. Also, most rentals here are manual, so if you need an automatic (like me!), be sure to filter for it on Discover Cars when booking.
