From start to finish this 3-day tour is packed with activities we love. It cuts no corners and has a little bit of everything – history, adventure, wildlife spotting, and more. If you want to make the most of your visit to the Nazca Lines (and Peru in general) you can book this tour with confidence.
On day one, we made a stop for the freshest baked bread in Peru – no lie, it was amazing! Then, the highlight of the day is easily Hacienda San Jose. A gorgeous colonial estate with a dark history of slavery, we got to hear its role in the modern Afro-Peruvian culture. If you love unique history, the guided tour here is well worth it.
Day two kicks off with a speed boat ride to Isla Ballestas to spot penguins and sea lions. I’m a sucker for wildlife and this was a great little adventure to the “Galapagos Islands of Peru.” But for me, the real stand-out of the day is a guided tour of the Paracas National Reserve where the ocean and cliffside collide for stunning views. Although there is winetasting and a dune buggy tour (done separately of course), so maybe that takes the cake, heck, it’s all amazing!
The final day is to none other than the legendary Nazca Lines and taking a flight over this incredible landscape to see the drawings etched in the landscape is the memory of a lifetime. It’s no wonder there are hundreds of raving reviews about this 3-day tour!

If you’re short on time, this 2-day tour is my pick for a well-rounded experience that will leave you with memories of a lifetime.
I’m an especially big fan of the fact that it spends more time at fewer places so you get more out of each stop. If you prefer quality over quantity this is the tour you should book!
With an early start on day 1 from Lima, it’s off to Isla Ballestas on a speed boat ride to spot wild penguins and sea lions. This island has been dubbed the “Galapagos of Peru” and after seeing it for myself, I can vouch for how beautiful it is. The other half of the day is spent at the largest dune in South America. The dune buggy and sandboarding tour here is an experience all travelers will love!
Of course, heading off to the Nazca Lines the following day is the highlight of the whole experience. The 30-minute flight over the 300 different geoglyphs was stunning and a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. And following that up by exploring the 2,000-year-old aqueducts with a guide is a great way to learn about this ancient civilization. If you enjoy a quality guided experience this tour won’t disappoint.
It’s incredible how much is packed into this 2-day itinerary without feeling rushed. But it is popular (just check out all the reviews here), so don’t wait too long to book!

3. Full-Day Private Tour to Nazca Lines and Huacachina Oasis from Lima

- Price: $590 USD
- Duration: 14 hours
- Time: 6 am
- Highlights: Fly over the Nazca Lines, go wine tasting in Pisco Nietto, dune buggy and sand board at Huacachina Oasis
- Inclusions: English-speaking guide, Nazca Lines flight, dune buggy and sand boarding tour at Huacachina Oasis, wine and pisco tour, round trip air-conditioned transportation from your hotel in Lima
- Rating: 5 stars (check all of the reviews here!)
- Free cancellation: Yes
If you only have a day to visit the Nazca Lines and want to make it the best possible experience, this private tour blows it out of the water. It has some other amazing stops that I adore in the region and since it’s private, you get more out of each place than you would on a group tour.
You start the day with pickup from your hotel in Lima and then take a 3.5-hour drive to the Paracas airport to see the Nazca Lines. The 30-minute flight over these 2,000-year-old geoglyphs is amazing! What makes this truly special is having a private guide who can answer any questions you have. If seeing the Nazca Lines is a bucket list item for you, having a private guide makes it so much better.
I love that after seeing the Nazca Lines you go to one of the oldest vineyards in the region to enjoy a wine and pisco tasting. But what is pisco you might ask? Produced in Peru, pisco is fermented grapes turned into a spirit used in many cocktails like the Pisco Sour.
But of course, it keeps getting better and I can’t wait for you to see the Huacachina Oasis. The dune buggy tour and sandboarding here are both such a blast!

If you’re staying in Ica and want to see the Nazca Lines, but don’t want to break the bank this highly-rated tour is my recommended option.
You start the day off with drive from your hotel in Ica to the Nazca airport where you will jump on a plane to fly over the Nazca Lines. On the way to the airport, guides will tell you all about the Nazca Lines and their incredible history so you can appreciate them all the more from the sky.
The flight is 35 minutes of spectacular scenery and the 2,000-year-old hand-carved geoglyphs are one of the coolest things to see in Peru. It’s hard to explain just how spectacular they are, so do yourself a favor and go see them for yourself!
After the incredible flight, it’s back towards Ica to Huacachina Oasis. The oasis boasts the largest dune in South America and I loved the dune buggy tour around it and the thrill of sandboarding down its side. It’s a gorgeous area with plenty of amazing photo opportunities and while the dune buggy ride is relaxing, the sandboarding is an adrenaline rush. It’s a well-balanced tour that offers real bang for your buck.
