Here are a few of our favorite activities and day trips that you can easily book and add to your trip.

• Go on a food tour – We loved this food tour of Como because not only did we eat amazing food, but we also learned all about the city from our local guide! We ate pizza, wine, cured meats, dessert, and more, finding hidden gems and Como’s best restaurants as we went.

• Traditional wooden boat cruise – Get onto Lake Como in style with this traditional wooden boat tour. The scenery is even more beautiful from the water, and riding in this classic boat made the experience incredible. Plus, the times are flexible, so it was easy to fit into our schedule!

• Visit Bellagio & Varenna – If you don’t end up staying in Bellagio or Varenna, you can visit on this day trip from Como! This is a great option if you’re short on time, and the day was made easy by our local guide, who took care of all the logistics for us.

• Take a cooking class – One of the easiest ways to dive into local culture is through cooking, so we quickly booked this pasta and tiramisu class in Como. We had so much fun learning this Italian art from locals, and we enjoyed eating our creations even more!

• Ride an e-bike – Extend your adventures to vineyards and even Switzerland on this e-bike tour. Como is hilly, so riding an electric bike made exploring easy. Plus, we could go further, through the mountains and into Switzerland for the day, which was an unbelievable experience!
