I’d recommend allotting about 3-4 hours for this whole experience.

This classic hop-on, hop-off experience is all about flexibility and fun, but even if you stay on the entire time, you’ll see an incredible variety of Naples’ highlights. The route winds through historic Old Naples, past the elegant homes along Gulf Shore Boulevard, and down to the scenic waterfront lined with palm trees and boats gliding across the bay.

After wrapping up the trolley tour, a relaxed lunch at EJ’s Bayfront Café is the perfect next stop. Since the trolley tour is hop-on, hop-off, you can start and end wherever you want, but we wrapped up around 1 pm. This cafe is located in Tin City, where we will spend the next few hours. If you get off the trolley tour here, it’s an easy area to explore. But if you ended the trolley tour elsewhere, grab an Uber to this area.

This cafe is relaxed and welcoming, and has a variety of dishes, whether you’re looking for something hearty or light. Open until 3 pm daily, EJ’s is the ideal spot to recharge before your afternoon plans.

Afternoon – Explore or unwind near Tin City

Depending on how long you spend on the trolley tour and what time your sunset cruise departs, you’ll have a few hours to spare. Luckily, the Tin City Waterfront Shops is the perfect place to slow down and enjoy the late afternoon, and it’s right around the corner from lunch.

This charming waterfront complex is filled with small boutiques selling local crafts, beachy decor, and souvenirs that capture a bit of that laid-back Naples spirit. You can browse through the shops at your own pace or treat yourself to a scoop (or two) of ice cream from M & M’s Café, a local favorite that hits the spot on a warm Florida day.

If you’re in the mood to relax with a drink instead, stroll just a couple of minutes over to The Cabana Bar at Bayfront. During the winter months, the start time will be between 3:30 and 4:30 pm, and during the summer it will be closer to 6 pm. So you might have to shuffle this schedule around a bit, depending on what time of year you’re visiting. It’s about a 30-minute drive south of Naples, and you can catch an Uber or hop in your rental car to get here.

Once we set sail, we effortlessly glided along the water with the gentle sway of the boat, making it easy to unwind. As the sun began to set, the sky transformed into a canvas of warm oranges and soft pinks, setting the perfect scene for a peaceful evening on the water.

The highlight of this sunset cruise was the champagne toast right as the sun was dipping below the horizon. It was such a memorable experience, and the views were simply incredible.
