Just below Mexico lies the unforgettable country of Guatemala. Known for its many volcanoes, ancient Mayan sites, and unique landscapes like Lake Atitlán which formed in an ancient volcanic crater, Guatemala is full of things to see.
We always look forward to traveling to Central America and particularly enjoy visiting Guatemala for its relaxing atmosphere and unique history. From seeing colorful colonial architecture in Antigua to hiking up the stunning Acatenanago Volcano, there are so many beautiful parts of this country.
Oh, and did we mention how budget-friendly Guatemala is? We’ll be the first to admit that traveling can get expensive! But Guatemala is perfect for those looking to sightsee without breaking the bank.
